Monica Shukla

Monica Shukla, Ph.D. has been appointed to the position of Speech and Debate Instructor with Kudos Education, for elementary class in the Irvine campus.

Monica has a diverse educational background consisting of a B.S. Mathematics, B.A. Communication Studies, M.S. Human Resources, and M.A. Organizational Leadership, from Chapman University. Also, she recently completed her Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Cultural and Curricular Studies.

She has been published in the Journal of Business Case Studies, received a Best Paper Award Certificate at the Association for Global Business Conference, and has also been the recipient of the 2008 Communication Research Theory Award with Chapman University.

While completing her B.A. in Communication Studies, Monica also competed in Speech Competitions and completed courses related to Debate, and Interpersonal Communication. The events she competed in included Impromptu, Humorous Interp, Prose, Persuasive Speech, and Mock Trial.

Furthermore, she was a First Place Award recipient for the Orange County Academic Decathlon Speech and Interview Competitions during high school, and was later requested to return as a Competition Judge.

In addition to her work in the field of higher education as a Professor, Monica has also previously worked with elementary school children for over 10 years as a Gujarati language instructor, 8 years as a Senior Girl Scout Camp Counselor and Advisor to younger participants, and 4 years as a Substitute Teacher in Garden Grove Unified School District.

Overall, Monica has a passion for the field of Speech and Debate and looks forward to helping the students at Kudos Education to continue to develop their skills and maximize their potential.
